    Default CD (KBI) compact/nope it's a RIA

I have a chance to pick up a CD officers model 45...The seller says it's new in the box, been in a safe...any thoughts on quality...Note, I haven't seen it yet.

I would see how the price compares to ria's since cd's and ria's are both made by armscor and CD is no longer in business. How much?

Here's an example of a new ria on gunbroker:

You might contact centerfiresystems and siee if they have then, if not how much and when.

It boils down to how the price is and how bad you want it. I think tht cd's are deent pistols, but I really think the ria's have a rep for being more dependable with the cd's costing a little more. Even though they are made in the same plant.

I know this does not help much, but if it's dependable with a good price I would consider it.

THanks for the info...this is a friend's son who bought it new and put it in a safe. He's was asking 500.00 but said I can have it for 400.00. He said it has factory beavertail, adjustable trigger, and skelatonized hammer. He claims it's unfired. I told him that I would take it, hope to pick it up next week..

I got the gun, again it's a RI compact...I think it's what many call a hybred. It has extented beaver tail grip safety, but the little small military style sights ( which I will have to change)

That is a good deal on the RIA Compact!!! Some of the Compacts did indeed come with the beavertail but also the standard GI sights!!!
